Located in Cumberland, Maryland, the Donald L. Alexander Library at Allegany College of Maryland is an integral part of the College’s Learning Commons. It provides in-person and remote access to academic resources and support services, technology, and study spaces. Our goal is to provide increased opportunities for student learning and success. With an FTE of 778 students, we also serve the general public in Allegany County and the surrounding areas of Western Maryland. Our collection of local history and genealogy attracts many visitors. We also receive inquires by phone or email from all over the United States!

Anne Arundel Community College

The Andrew G. Truxal Library is committed to participating in teaching and promoting lifelong learning at Anne Arundel Community College. The library’s collection includes over 150,000 physical books, 114,000 electronic books, 15,000 online and print periodicals and 21,000 audiovisual resources available online and in house. The library provides access to more than 60 online databases, where most electronic resources can be found. You can also check out a number of anatomical and chemistry models, as well as laptop computers, calculators, phone chargers, headphones, staplers, and more.

Chesapeake College
Wye Mills, MD
The Chesapeake College library supports the educational needs of students from our five counties: Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s and Talbot on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Chesapeake has one library at their main location in Wye Mills and employs two full-time professional librarians. With an FTE of 1845 students, the library works in tandem with our Academic Support Center to provide learning support both in-person and remotely.

CSM Libraries provide services and resources to support the academic and career courses of the college. Library staff offer help in obtaining information, using library resources, and conducting research. We encourage students to ask for individual research assistance when needed. Library collections include college-level research databases, reference materials, course reserves, books, and periodicals in both print and digital formats. Research databases are available for completing research in many subject areas. Hagerstown Community College

The William M. Brish Library at Hagerstown Community College champions student success by connecting any and all members of the campus community with the resources they need, supporting their growth in critical thinking and information literacy, and welcoming them to accessible, functional, inspiring spaces both on campus and online. Three professional librarians and one Library Services Assistant support our student body of approximately 2600 FTE as well as faculty, staff, and community users. Recently remodeled in 2017 with an eye to the future, the library facility offers quiet, individual, and group study spaces as well as a core collection of physical materials. A wide variety of electronic resources and virtual reference services make information available at any time or place.

Located in the James Clark Library building, Howard Community College’s Library is a tremendous resource for HCC students, faculty, staff, and the Howard County community. Open seven days a week in the fall and spring semesters, the library is outfitted with group study rooms, computer labs, group viewing rooms, quiet zones, silent areas, and seating areas for comfortable reading. The Wor-Wic Community College Library Centers located in Brunkhorst Hall, Henson Hall, and Shockley Hall are research facilities supporting academic programs by providing computer use and ease of access on or off campus to academic e-resources and digital collections, research help, and reference assistance to a diverse and growing student and academic community from the counties of Wicomico, Worcester, and Somerset on the Eastern Shore of Maryland with a credit and non-credit FTE of 1,079.
